CHILDHOOD IN ASIA
Born in England but a childhood in seven different countries, primarily across Asia. I consider myself fortunate to have gained a deep understanding of diverse cultures and identities. This experience has made me highly adaptable and sparked my passion for emerging markets and consumer behaviors. It has also shaped my belief that connecting with customers, making them feel recognized, and valued, is a key strategy in success. ​

ALWAYS ONLINE
For many years, I’ve stayed consistently up-to-date with social media trends, influencers, and celebrity news. From a young age, I was creating my own 'music videos' and engaging with various platforms to share my (embarrassing) content. I also created fan accounts during school, creating video edits and engaging with communities.

Today, I find it fascinating how social media shapes consumer behaviour and influences trend cycles, particularly in fashion. I explored this topic in one of my university papers (view here), where I examined the connection between influencer marketing and social media addiction.

A recent example of applying this in my current role as a Marketing Assistant was when I sent clothing to Dianne Buswell, Strictly Come Dancing pro and winner, for her trip to South Africa for Caspar and Ambar Lee's wedding (popular UK youtubers). After learning it was Ambar's wedding, I also sent her pieces. Knowing Dianne's recent success on Strictly and her wide demographic, I recognised the potential for increased brand visibility. The wedding was also drawing attention, so I knew it would amplify the impact. As a result, we saw a noticeable spike in our social media following and profile views during that month as they shared content from the trip.
